A remarkable child prodigy who in his teens obtained an advanced Performer's Diploma with distinction, Denis Kirch studied with such luminaries of the flute as Marcel Moyse, Jean-Pierre Rampal, André Jaunet and Aurèle Nicolet. Today he is renowned in his native France and throughout Europe for the emotional intensity of his performances, his beautiful tone and dazzling virtuoso technique. On this concert tour of South Africa he is partnered by Marika Hofmeyr, an award-winning South African pianist and chamber musician who today lives in France, teaches at the Conservatory of Grasse and performs throughout Europe.

From an early age, 25-year old Serbian violinist Stanko Madic was the winner of top awards at Serb, Slovak, Czech and Italian competitions. Considered the finest violin talent of his generation in Serbia, he has toured extensively through the ex-Yugoslav republics, Europe and Asia as soloist with orchestra and recitalist; and as an active and enthusiastic chamber musician he is leader of the well-known Sonore String Trio and the Energico Piano Trio. On this his first tour of South Africa Mr Madic has as duo parther the distinguished South African pianist Pieter Jacobs.

In January 2008 Ben Schoeman became the first South African to win the Vodacom UNISA International Piano Competition. While currently furthering his studies at the renowned Accademia Pianistica 'Incontri col Maestro' in Imola, Italy, this major South African talent enjoys a high-profile performing career as a concerto soloist and recitalist and chamber musician. Apart from South Africa where he is much admired, Mr Schoeman has given concerts in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Czech Republic, Italy, Holland and Switzerland and Canada. Earlier this year he made a critically acclaimed Berlin recital debut, and in May was Gold Medallist of the Royal Overseas League International Music Competition in London.
