Venue info: The most prominent event held at the racecourse is the annual Kenya Derby. Races are held there most Sundays. Apart from horse racing, the venue has used for cross country running competitions and it has acted as a special stage for the Safari Rally. It has also been used for Ostrich racing. It is managed by the Jockey Club of Kenya.

Screen on the Green showcases and promotes local film productions and movies shot in Kenya yet also brings you films from all over the world for a fulfilling movie going experience. Imagine watching your favorite movie under a starlit sky, with your favorite brew and your favorite people. Featuring two movies for the price of one for a fun evening out. Come with friends, family or a special date. Bring something to sit on and food & beverages are allowed (and also available for sale). Make sure you bring a blanket to sit on and make sure you dress warm to watch two entertaining films on a gigantic movie screen. People start to claim their spots on the lawn as early as 5:30 p.m. Movies play except in extreme weather.
