| There was cash prize for 1st 2nd and 3rd as well as the lady as well as animal dawa for 1st 2nd 3rd and 4th. Camel races started at about 10.30 am and we had 3.There was the 200 meter followed by 400 and then 800 meter. A game of polo followed played by the Bobong players. The black shirts won 1 goal to nil. After lunch there was 1 race of 400 meter. This was followed by another game of polo the Bobong first verses my son and his friends. Bobong won 4 nil. We then had another 800-meter race. The camels in all the races had an entry fee of 200/- and you could ride as well if you wanted of find a Bobong rider. All races were restricted to 7 camels per race. The last race was cancelled due to rain. There was a nyama choma zone serving also drinks. There were prizes for 1st 2nd and 3 in each race as well as the winning polo team. All donated by Norbrook Kenya.  |
